About Us
Our band consists of skilled musicians with a deep passion for Brazilian music. Each member brings years of experience, ensuring a high-energy performance filled with authenticity and flair. We pride ourselves on our versatility, allowing us to adapt our setlist to match the vibe of your event—whether it’s a romantic wedding reception or a lively birthday party.
Mariana Barcellos is a Brazilian singer-songwriter who began singing Bossa Nova in Rio de Janeiro more than ten years ago. After moving to New York, she performed weekly in Manhattan before settling in Woodstock, where she collaborates with skilled musicians to share Brazilian music. Timothy Hill is a versatile singer, guitarist, pianist, and composer featured on over 40 recordings across various genres, from folk to jazz. Gil Oliveira, a renowned drummer/percussionist from Rio de Janeiro, has played with many iconic artists and participated in the Brazilian Carnival for over a decade. Steve Gorn brings his bamboo flute, blending Indian sounds with Bossa Nova, and has worked with notable artists like Paul Simon and Glen Velez, as well as on Grammy-winning recordings. Gabriel Dresdale is a multi-instrumentalist and music educator specializing in cello, with experience in classical, jazz, folk, and rock genres.
We generally give preference to our full band for a more dynamic and rich musical experience, but if your budget is somewhat limited, we will be more than happy to accommodate your needs by performing as our duo consisting of voice and guitar or, alternatively, our trio featuring drums!

Me at the Ipanema beach right in front of my grandparent’s apartment.
Ipanema Beach is where Bossa Nova emerged, and it is home for me. I am glad to share my voice and keep spreading the ease and teachings that Bossa Nova melodies, poetry and harmonies bring to us all!
