BLISS

Bliss is a musical fusion of Brazilian music and American folk, where Mariana Barcellos and Gabriel Dresdale weave guitar, vocals, cello, piano and percussion into soul-stirring original songs. Since 2016, they’ve brought their message of love, nature, and healing to theaters, art galleries, yoga studios, and beyond.

Their journey began when they worked together for a music performance at The Whitney Museum. Now, as a married duo raising their daughter in Woodstock, NY, they continue to create and share their sound, spreading harmony wherever they go.

Mariana Barcellos is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and vocal coach with a rich artistic background in theater, cinema, and social communication. Hailing from the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, she began her professional singing career in 2013, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and deep connection to Brazilian music.

After moving to New York, Mariana quickly became a staple in the local music scene, performing weekly Bossa Nova & Samba gigs in Manhattan. Her journey then led her to Woodstock, NY, where she continues to spread the beauty of Brazilian rhythms with her band, BOREAL.

Beyond reimagining beloved Brazilian classics, Mariana is also a songwriter. Her original music—available on all major streaming platforms—includes songs from her album Cantos do Mar, her EP Breeze, and heartfelt singles like About Love and Coração Criação. In her live performances, she blends these originals with timeless Brazilian melodies, creating a truly immersive experience.

Gabriel Dresdale is a genre-blending, spiritually conscious musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, composer, and educator. Born and raised in Woodstock, NY, he now shares a life of music and love with his wife, Brazilian singer-songwriter Mariana Barcellos, and their daughter, Michaela Jasmin.

A lifelong musician, Gabriel’s primary instrument is the cello, which he began playing at just five years old. His sound flows seamlessly across classical, jazz, world, folk, rock, and free improvisation. He also plays guitar, piano, and a full range of recorders (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass).

Gabriel teaches private music lessons both in person and on Zoom, and performs in various projects—including his band Levanta, his duo Bliss with Mariana, the string trio Hudson Pro Musica, and as a solo artist. Available for weddings, memorials, special events, and recording sessions, his mission is to be a presence of peace, sharing stories of love and self-discovery through music.
