Music Summer Camp Farm – Woodstock

August 3rd - 7th & 10th to 14th 2026 • 9:00 AM – 3:15 PM
For children ages 6–9 • One-week or Two-week enrollment

This summer, we invite young musicians to join us for a unique and joyful musical immersion inspired by the legendary Woodstock Festival of 1969. Hosted at a beautiful small Farm in Woodstock, this camp gives children the chance to explore music in a creative, playful, nature-filled environment.

Through singing, rhythm, storytelling, and group music-making, campers will discover selected songs that shaped the Woodstock spirit — songs like “Freedom,” “With a Little Help From My Friends,” “Amazing Grace” and “Let the Sun Shine In”.

Children will learn about rhythms, lyrics, musical expression, and the cultural meaning behind these iconic pieces, all adapted for their age group in a fun and inspiring way.

During our day together, we have free play time around the beautiful yard, sprinkler to cool off and snacks.

Under the shade we come back as a circle and learn some new songs. With our voices and claps we practice to be in tune with each other.

We also offer a daily Recorder Group Session, if your child does not have a recorder, we will send a link for an affordable one.

To facilitate different dynamics we separate the kids in different groups so they can create their own group song together. If they need some inspiration we help by giving them a theme, a place, a character, a color or something to spark their wish to sing and make up a song!

Song circle

We start each day with a song circle to greet the morning and to introduce ourselves. Then we warm up the voice with simple melodies and fun rhythms!

“Mom, music is magical! When Gabriel played something it made me want to move my body and it felt like magic.”

Otto (5yo)

Where is the camp happening?

Placed on the top of Ohayo Mountain Road in Woodstock, New York, Lidskjalf Farm is Susan Dresdale’s farm. She is Gabriel’s mom and she takes care of her beautiful land by having vegetable and flower gardens and farm animals. Your child will meet (with proper distance) Colete the cow, Phoebe the sheep, Nyaal the ram and unnamed chickens, ducks and geese!

Susan has hosted Waldorf home school groups and summer camps at her farm for more than a decade. Her big house farm carries a unique atmosphere that takes you to another time and space. The farm’s name is originated from Scandinavian North’s myth. Lidskjalf is the name of where the god Odin lives.

There is no internet at the farm, but we will provide you with the house phone number and you can send us texts to our cell phones.

Cost is $510 per week/per child
